My wife and I are considering getting a home improvement loan and adding an outdoor kitchen to our back porch. Have any of you added one to your house or built one when you built your house? If so, any tips? Our porch "that's under roof" isn't huge...so we are considering extended our porch out further to add more space.

Things we are considering...
- wood fireplace
- fridge
- built in grill
- TV over fireplace for watching aggie football
- maybe ice maker

I assume by your handle you're not in a big city? If you were I'd suggest a gas firepit just for ambiance since we rarely need it for heat and getting wood in the city is $$$.

We just built one with a wood fireplace and at the last minute I had the plumber extend the gas line for the grill over to the fireplace for a wood starter. Best decision I ever made.
