Any recommendations for companies that do full home tear downs/demo work?

75 year old Rundown 2 story home full of mold/who knows what else is only a few feet away from another home on one side so there are a few moving parts to this and want a company who knows what they are doing.

We can't just throw a chain around it and yank it down (although I wish we could)

Just did this in the Heights on our narrow lot with one neighbor's house a few feet away. This guy and his crew did a great job:

Anyone know what something like that costs? I like to pencil that in the back of my mind so I have reference points.

I would guess $10k-$20k.

We finance a lot of new construction including tear downs in Houston and quite a few of my clients have used Habitat for Humanity. No cost.

Even if their is asbestos and mold and it's a complex tear down?

How does that work?

I can't tell you anything about that. I'm not involved in that. We just have to document the demolition as part of the loan process.

A two story small home to demo costs more than $20k?

We used Benito to demo. ~2500 ft2 single story + 2 car detached with a room above. i think we came in around 8K.

i thought with habitat you had to pay upfront but the salvage/tax break ends up offsetting most of it. when we were looking, their up-front cost was substantially more than what we paid (though probably less in the end)...but due to Harvey, they were full-up.

With asbestos abatement? Possibly. That can get expensive quickly.
