Anyone have one (cheaper end) that they like?

Use would be to descale tankless water heater. I don't want to just grab the absolute cheapest option but it's also only going to get used every year or so...

I bought the 1/6 HP (I think) at Ace Hardware for just that purpose. That was 4 or so years ago. It works fine. Home Depot sells one cheaper.

I use a cheap transfer pump. It's not great but gets the job done. Make sure you never let it run dry.
Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

I'd recommend the de scaling treatment with white vinegar every year.

I bought this one from Amazon for my tankless water heater for $41:
Superior Pump 91025 1/5 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump with 10-Foot Cord https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X07GMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JtjjDbSPJ9VW2

I also bought a set of braided stainless washing machine hoses and a 5 gallon bucket. It works great for descaling my water heaters.

I have the Superior Pump 91330 1/3 HP, ordered from Amazon. I use it to pump standing water out of a ditch on my property whenever we have heavy rains. Works pretty well along with the discharge hose, also ordered from Amazon with the valve adapter kit.
