Have a retaining wall adjacent to a swimming pool. With all the rain lately, water is streaming through small voids in the wall into the pool. Google shows a several options for waterproofing basements and foundations. Thinking I need to excavate behind the retaining wall and apply this stuff. Any advice?

Is there not a French drain behind the retaining wall to divert the water away to the side ends of the retaining wall as opposed to trying to go thru the wall? If not, depending on the height of the wall, hydraulics may cause the wall to eventually lean.

What Gary said. Your options are to a) use a drain system to divert the water or b) mage a permeable wall and let excess ground water drain through it.below grade waterproofing is going to be for something like basement walls

Assuming the retaining wall is holding a higher elevation than the grade around the pool.

You need to address the drainage on the upstream side of the retaining wall - french drain, gravel drain, something that allows the water to go somewhere other than through the wall.
