Recently completed a remodel and our system spent some time offline. Added a second vent in our master and a nearby return air as the only HVAC work.

Discovered discharge in these pics about 2 weeks ago, but it's not a constant drip, only shows up every second or third day.

I checked all around the duct in the attic and couldn't find any moisture to speak of - any ideas? Wipes up easily with water and doesn't noticeably smell.

Believe me I've made all the jokes. Also confirmed nothing was dead in there and confessed all of my sins, just in case this house actually sits over the portal to hell.

Check for condensation in the duct. I suspect that's what's behind what you see, and if that's the case your air handler might not have been installed correctly since water shouldn't be draining or blowing there.

Yep, pretty sure its a major warning sign when you're house starts bleeding. Lots of horror movies start out with concepts as simple as this.
