This started about a month ago with one or two branches and has spread to what you see below. The little one is a century tree sapling so I'd like to keep that one alive if possible.







Neighbors tree has it too.

Are the diseased areas of the trees facing each other? How far apart are the 2 trees?

The two trees are probably ten feet apart. The areas are partially facing each other.

The little tree is probably 15 feet from my big one with the issues.

Sorry. Didn't keep up with this. If they are that close there is probably something common affecting both of them. The root systems will undoubtedly be intermingled.

Oak wilt? If roots touch it makes sense that both have the issue
