Had a ceiling fan acting up. Its a Minka Aire Napoli stuck on really low speed. There is no pull string, just a wall mounted control, so I replaced the capacitor. It sped the fan up, but there is still only one speed. Would replacing the reverse module(Seen below) change anything or does this sounds more like a wiring issue?

My first guess would be the wall mounted control.

I don't understand why ceiling fan manufacturers decided that the fans needed to get "smarter." All of the wall mounted controls and remote controls actual make integrating fans into smart homes much more difficult.

I've bought and returned a couple of fans that I wanted to put in my living room because there was no way to wire around the "smart" features so I could use the smart switch already in the wall that's tied into my SmartThings hub.

Thank you.

I'm going to work on it today. Maybe replace the wall switch first and go from there.
