How long do you want to ignore this user?
Old wiring has two hots and ground. That's it. From what I can tell this was common when the house was built. 1975.

New double oven has the typical 4 wires. Red, black, white, and green. I can't figure out how this should be wired. From what I'm reading the newer appliances need the white wire as a neutral for the electronics running on 120V. I'm assuming I can't wire that to the ground. Am I totally screwed here? Do I need a new run to the panel?

It does. But it says when service is red, black, and white, with white and green from the oven being wired to the white service line.

I have white and black hots and a green. I wasn't sure if I could treat my green service line like the white srrvice line in their diagram.

I did. White is definitely hot. So I can connect the appliance white and green to my green?
