There are a kazillion of what appears to be tiny elm seedlings in my flower beds, growing in the mulch. They have incorporated themselves up under every plant. Perhaps it's because of the temperatures, but they appear to be immune to both Roundup and vine killer. Can someone give me hope of a way to eradicate most of these without days of using a hoe and of destroying my mulch?

Have you added some soap as a surfactant to the round up? Try that to help hold the poison on the leaves. Give it a good 7 days to work

Send me some, they're a lot more resistant to dutch elm than the variety that grows over here excluding chinese elm. The trunk on those trees looks too red.

They pull out easily when they are small.

But I too have millions of them and I just use the garden hoe and stir the mulch up.
