House has a pathway running from driveway across the front of the house - sides are closed in by a retaining wall on one side and the foundation on the other. There are poured concrete steps leading to the front door, but everything else is dirt and a lot of rocks. I'd like to fill the area in with landscaping rocks, but do I need to do anything to treat the "dirt area" first? Remove all the rocks, leveling sand, weed fabric, etc? Concrete pavers currently sit about 3" above ground level. Thanks for any advice!

If you want to DIY a nice flagstone walkway, here is a site to visit. It is a lot of work but very doable for anyone with the courage and energy. Save time by cutting the stone with an angle grinder, but otherwise follow this guys advice. Find and read all the Q&A. Also, make sure you are not creating a drainage problem for yourself. Have fun.
