I need to replace my 21+ year old Liftmaster garage door opener. Looking for recommendations on which to purchase. 2 car garage door. Thanks!

Replaced my screw drive with this about 6 months ago. Very happy with it. I also replaced door and tracks.

I have had the same one for 2 years has been great. It has been nice to be able to open the door in a power outage. I think it will open and close 20 times on the battery.

We installed two Liftmaster 8500 openers late last year and they are wonderful. Much quieter than anything else I've seen or heard and nothing hanging from the ceiling in the garage.

We have a bedroom over the garage and the floor used to shake when the doors were opening or closing. Now you can't even tell they are moving from the room above.

Got the 8550W installed for $310 which seemed reasonable. I was planning on eventually replacing the garage door but after talking to the guy that did the opener I am thinking sooner rather than later. Any suggestions on that? He said the door would be $850-950 installed.

My old door was cracking so I opted for the 24 gauge and also had them install 2 extra struts to reinforce it. Dont know if it's worth it or not, but dont want to replace it again!
