I'm trying to apply herbicide with a hose end dial sprayer. I need to apply 2 tbsp per gallon so I set the dial to 2. However, I also need to add the surfactant in at a rate of 1 tbsp per gallon. Do I set the dial to 3 now because of the addition of the surfactant?

Don't think so. You don't want to change the rate of your concentrate....

As above, You will have to pre-dilute your herbicide and spray at 3. You can't make your surfactant any more concentrated, and you can't make your herbicide more concentrated. But you can dilute your herbicide with water by 3/2 so both match.

Or you can just use 2 and say f--- it. It's surfactant and you are killing things.
