I am getting quotes to install engineered hardwood in my 50yr old house.
House has original wood floors that are shot in about half the area that I want new floors.
Problem is the builder recessed the foundation about 3/4" to allow for the current wood floor to be flush with the rest of the foundation.
I've had some installers tell me to fill in the recessed portion with concrete and others with plywood.
Anybody on here have this issue before and have reccomedations.
