My husband wants/needs a new pressure washer. I know that he wants gas. I think this is the one he sent me that he was interested in: SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125-S 3100 PSI at 2.5 GPM Gas Pressure Washer Powered by HONDA with OEM Technologies Axial Cam Pump

Any better suggestions? I prefer to get him what he wants but maybe a tad better.

Nice! I've never used this model, but it looks great and gets really good reviews. Can't go wrong with a Honda engine.

Get him what he wants. He will be disappointed if he spec'd something out, then got something different.

Oh, and if he is thinking of pressure washing surfaces...get him one of these:

Got this beast a few years ago at SAM's for about half price as someone returned it and it was missing the hose and a few spray tips.

SIMPSON Cleaning PS4240H 4200 PSI at 4 GPM Gas Pressure Washer Powered by HONDA with AAA Triplex Pump



Been using it the last couple of days to clean Pavestone retaining walls, concrete sidewalks & driveway and patio decks and couldn't be happier. This is one powerful puppy!

I own the pressure washer mentioned in the OP.

After about 10 hours of use, it started surging on low idle. I think the low idle jet is too small.

It still works well when pressure is engaged, but it annoys me. I contacted Simpson and they referred me to a local small engine repair shop to repair it. The only way I'd let them touch it is if it flat out doesn't work.

My experience is probably an aberration. It does get good reviews at Lowes.

Very thoughtful wife! Be sure to get extended warranty and advide him to not leave gas in tsnk and carbureator longer than a month. Drain and use fresh after a month. (Ethanol creates clogged fuel hose and carbs.

I know nothing about it, but you do want to stay at or above 3000 psi to cover everything you might want to wash. So that's good.
