What is a reasonable price to repair two ceiling leaks? Approx. 4'x4' each.

Remove, replace, tape, float, texture and paint. (with my paint)

Leaks have been repaired.

Quoted $950. Not interested in DIY. Fixing house to sell.

Since you are looking at maybe 40-50 dollars in materials I would say that is very high. I would think 250-300 but I would do it myself since it is easy to do Sheetrock work.

What's the ceiling height?

Leaks are always repaired until they leak again.

One was a roof leak/siding leak.
The other was a bathtub leak.
Both have been repaired and are not leaking.
Just trying to fix the sheetrock now.
Probably 9' ceilings.

Lot of variables in a ceiling drywall repair

Are the areas away from walls or near ?
What type of texture ?
House empty or furniture that has to be covered ?
What type of flooring ?
It takes a lot more time to control dust if it dark tile and grout versus carpet.
Is it the exact can of paint the ceiling was painted with ?

I had a similar issue, I did the demo and installed new sheet rock myself and I was only charged 150 for tape and floating plus texture.

Sister-in-law's house, not mine. Trying to help her out. Her husband, my B-i-L, passed away and she is selling the house. Needs to have it on the market ASAP. I don't have the time to get to it right away and we need it done right the first time.

Update-

Ended up with someone her Realtor hooked her up with. Fixed the two spots, plus another she was unaware of and touched up some additional cracks for < $300.
