I have this tile posted for sale in the classifieds, but decided to post it here also for a little more exposure.

For sale: Approximately 350 square feet of porcelain stone tile. We bought this tile a while back on an impulse to use in our kitchen (doing a complete gut and remodel), but my wife has since changed her mind and decided she wants a different tile. So I'm just trying to sell this tile and recoup some of the cost so we can purchase a different tile. Here are the specifics:

Brand: Crossville
Line: Empire
Color: VS87 Empress Silver polished

These are 24" x 24" tiles, there are 4 tiles in each box, and I have 22 boxes. That equals approximately 350 square feet.

This tile is all brand new, in unopened boxes. I only opened one box to take some tiles out for pictures. I have included several pictures of a single tile, and some pictures of 4 tiles together for you to get a good idea of what it looks like. I also threw a soda can in a couple of pictures so you could have a reference for the size and color of the tiles.

Price: This stuff retails for about $7/sqft, which would be $2450 plus tax. I paid a little less than that when I purchased it. I am only asking $1000 (~$2.85/sqft), or best offer . I know I am losing money on this deal, but I'm just trying to get some of my money back out of this tile. Please no crazy low ballers.

Location: Tile is located in Katy, and this stuff is very heavy. If you pay full asking price I will deliver it to you around the Houston metro area. If you are close to my asking price I will try to meet you half way somewhere. If you try to negotiate a bunch off of the asking price, be prepared to come pick it up from me in Katy.

I work in construction, so I run into lots of tile contractors. This stuff was left over from a job he did. I got a little break on the price from him and didn't pay full retail, but still probably paid more than I should have. Then like I said above, once I got it home and put a couple pieces down in the kitchen, we realized it just wasn't the look we were going for.

Silly mistake, I know. Just trying to recoup some funds from it.

Just wondering if you could return it somewhere for a gift card. I need tile from Floor and Decor.

I remember that linoleum from an earlier remodel thread!

Bump for visibility!

Haha, the infamous lime green linoleum!

You are correct that linoleum has been featured here before. We did a large renovation on the house when we moved in in 2014, and all of that linoleum got covered with floating laminate wood floor. I made a thread about the renovation here at the time.

Well our house flooded back in April of this year and all ~1400 sq ft of laminate wood flooring that I personally installed was trashed. Several weeks of night and weekend work was ripped out in a few hours with the help of some friends.

When that happened it caused sort of a domino effect of new renovations/upgrades and now we are about to do a full blown kitchen gut and rebuild. We will finally get to say goodbye to our lime green laminate counter tops and pull handles in the middle of the cabinet doors! Our kitchen will also basically double in size, so needless to say we are very excited.

I am doing pretty much all it myself except the granite fabrication/installation. We are going this weekend to pick out/purchase the new tile that will go in the kitchen/dining room. I bought a couple of specialized tools that I didn't have yet, and I will be building and installing all of the cabinets myself. We already bought new appliances at a holiday sale a while back. It's about to get real!

Oh and the green linoleum will be demoed to make way for the new kitchen/dining room tile!

So what caused the flooding drummer?
Just asking as I've been there, done that back in January 2010. Copper water line in attic froze, burst and flooded the entire rent house 4-6" deep with laminate flooring throughout. Was like walking on a giant waterbed when we arrived to shut the water off and inspect the place!

On April 18th, the Good Lord up above decided that Houston need a bath.

I am in Katy specifically, and I was actually very lucky. Only got 2-3 inches in my house, so all I lost was my flooring. Mostly laminate wood flooring, and two bedrooms worth of carpet. People further down my street got 2 feet of water in their house.

Just going to keep dropping the price on this stuff until it is out of my garage....

May also be interested in trades. I like tools and outdoors type stuff, especially things that go pew.

Don't be bashful to make an offer.

This stuff is still in my garage. Completely forgot about it until I was organizing the garage yesterday.

Make me an offer.
