Because the US Open is next week on the other side of the country. Safeway doesn't normally get a very good field anyways, and it's even worse this year thanks to COVID moving tournaments.

- Looks like Burgoon's wife had a baby, which would explain why he didn't tee it up in California a few weeks ago. He is scheduled to be in the Dominican this week.

Veerman is having himself a week on the European Tour shooting 67, 64, 64 so far.

But here's the kicker. The scores reset after the first two rounds. Only the top 32 advanced to the 3rd round and then cut down to 16 for the final round, where the scores are reset yet again.

Essentially, there will be 16 players "tied for the lead" heading into the final round. With the lowest score Sunday taking the title. Crazy stuff!

Go read what the Villegas family has been going through. It is truly heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Will be pulling for him to finish right behind Bronson.

Burgoon goes off at 9AM Pacific on the north course and Palmer off at 930AM Pacific on the south course.

Champ playing as well. Missed him.

We have a couple of members from our club playing this week so it's fun to have 5 guys to keep track of during a tournament.
