So usually we head to Florida for a 3 night 4 day 108 hole extravaganza 18 Thursday 36 Friday-Saturday 18 Sunday
With covid looking for backup options within driving distance of Houston (but not in Houston)

Must haves:
Good to great courses but no trying to break the bank.
At least 36 holes
Lodging on site via condos cabins etc.
Night life isn't important and would prefer a non hotel resort as we usually get a huge grocery order and cook booze and gamble onsite and then golf all day.

Anyone know of any good options.

For example our Tampa trip was to lake Jovita. All in with airfare, golf and lodging was $1200 a man plus food and booze.

Also this would be a February trip so looking for southern part of the state.

It's a shame the Falls isnt currently open. It would fit the bill to a tee

Riverhill CC in Kerrville. Just 18 I think but may be 27. It has been a while since I have been.

Tapatio Springs in Boerne (George Strait owns it now). Used to play there often with my Aggie friends. That would work really well.

Where do y'all normally stay in Florida? I'm looking for something similar. My group has people in Louisiana, Georgia, and Missouri and we try to do something between those points.

Our biggest challenge is we prefer at least one house directly on the course where centralize in the evenings for grilling and gambling. We don't leave the property the 2-3 days we are there normally.

Can someone please be more specific about Horseshoe Bay on the cabins? My friends and I are looking to do exactly what OP describes, but can't find cabins using there using the Google machine. All I see is to stay at the resort.

We stayed in a Townhouse/Condo at the resort. We enjoyed it a lot. Ours was a two story, three bedroom setup with multiple balconies. There was a kitchen with stovetop, can't remember about an oven though or any grills being there. We ate at the restaurants at the resort for dinner, and lunch at the courses.

All the courses were within an easy 10 minute drive.

Think we are going to Mossy Oak in West Point, MS in May.

Good choice. Old Waverly is right there as well.
