So there I was on my usual progression from PW to Low irons to Driver. Man I was really feeling great and loose and hitting great shots. I finally get to the driver and start off really well. "How come I can't hit this straight on the course". I'm about 45 balls in....then all of a sudden my balls starts going everywhere. To the point where I had to ask myself if I knew how to play golf anymore. A real mental downfall and flustered as hell at this point. Then I start hearing this noise off the club head and was like "wtf??"

Cracked and bulging shaft right above the ferrule.

I think it's toast...

Had a range implosion of my own last week. Been playing well lately and everything was feeling good. First half of the large bucket was hit great. Then a shank popped up. No big deal one shank happens now and then. Too bad I followed it up with another one. Laughed it off as a fluke. Next shot was a shank again. Three in a row now and I got that feeling of dread. Shanked the next one again and left the course immediately. I haven't swung a club since then. I'm probably doomed forever

Good Synopsis of my session this afternoon. I think I start thinking about way too many things towards the end and just lose focus on improving one thing. Shanks then flustered.
