Over the past year or so, I've seen a growing number of Tour players (Justin Rose is one, off the top of my head) who have incorporated the following into their pre-putt routines:
Stand/squat a couple feet behind the ball
Grip the putter in front of them
Look at their grip/line with one eye closed
I've been trying to find a video of it but coming up empty.
Does anyone know what I'm referring to? If so, what are they doing/what are they trying to achieve with this exercise?
