There's only one plot of land you could put a course in panther creek, and it's super close to dominion on panther creek neighborhood. That's just a semi educated guess though.

I don't know what else they could do.

Frisco is in the prairie. The only water feature that's in that area is Panther Creek which is not very substantial. I wouldn't guess the soil really lends itself to a hard and fast course, but even if they wanted to build something else I don't know what they'd do. Not like there's a big chunk of forest waiting to have a course carved through it.

The City of Frisco just bought 300 acres at the southwest corner of Panther Creek and Preston - claiming to be for Parks. Makes me wonder if they bought this land for the PGA. The Economic Development group funded part of that purchase.

I live a few miles north of that intersection. It actually has a fair amount of varied topography given the area. Lots of mature trees they could possibly work with as well. It's currently ranch land, not farmland. My property taxes would continue to soar if that's the actual location.

Edit- What could I get on Air-Bnb for the week on a 3200 sqft house with pool on Ryder Cup week?

West of the Tollway, North of Panther Creek and south of 380. Not bad land. I believe it is not developable for housing due to wetlands/flooding.

That is correct. This year is the first year Byron Nelson goes there.
