There used to be a great biography of Ruth on Netflix. He loved playing golf and did it everyday in the off season. Of course, he liked to gamble.

He was playing at a club and their fourth partner didn't show. The golf pro said "that kid over there is pretty good". He worked at the golf course and was 15 years old or so. Babe Ruth walked over and invited him to play as his partner. Kid played great and Babe won some money.

The next day, the kid bragged to all of his friends that he got to play golf with Babe Ruth. Of course, nobody believed him.

In the middle of the afternoon, the principal comes into the kid's classroom. Principal tells him, "you need to gather your books and come with me". Teenager wonders if he is in trouble, parents got in car wreck, etc. While he's gathering his stuff, Babe Ruth bursts into the room wearing full golf attire and yells "C'mon kid we're gonna be late for our tee time!"

The biography has great interview with that kid. He was about 80 at the time of interview and still excited about the memory.
