Edoardo Molinari couldn't do it.

He used a 9 iron. His very first shot was one of his best. That must have been absolutely maddening.

You can see all the turf he displaced doing it, but they didn't mention if someone was out there fixing his ball marks.

OK...I heard this on the radio...and not so sure I'd take the bet.

So here are the rules.

You have 365 days to get a hole in one.
You can only play (1) ball. If the ball goes OB, you get to replace it.
You tee off each time from exactly 150 yards.
After you hit your ball, you must walk/run to the green to get your ball.
Once you retrieve your ball, you must walk/run back to the tee box for another try.
You have as many tries per day that you want to take.

If you get a hole-in-one before the end of the 365th day, you get $20 Million.
If you fail to get a hole-in-one at the end of the 365th day, you die.

Absolutely I would take that bet.

20 million bones means playing whenever/wherever I want, for the rest of forever.

I'm not scared of dropping dead on the 366th day, because I will have killed myself from embarrassment around 11:55 PM on the last day.

Awesome divot pattern at the 5:00 mark.

A 10 handicap would have torn up the entire box.

Can I up my life insurance beforehand?

How bout serve a year in jail instead? I'm 35, my kids are 6 and 8. Seems a little selfish (especially considering I'd have a snowballs chance).

These Euro tour features of player contests are awesome. Whether its players trying this challenge or doing skeet shooting with a golf shot, I find them pretty entertaining.

I like the version of this where Jason from Friday 13th has a butcher knife and starts 365 steps away. One step per day.

I differ a little bit. I was taught to do it in lines vs one big square, so that the grass runners can cross and cover the space in a reasonable amount of time vs taking forever to cross a giant square. The square better than scattering, but I think 2nd best

Well I wouldn't have to work so I would have 365 days to try.
50 attempts or more a day. I figure from the same spot I could drop one once as a low single digit in 20,000 attempts

Agree with Danny. That's a horrendous divot pattern.

That ****s funny. I would never put my life in the hands of the golf gods. My job and family maybe. But not my life.

Dude has a great swing. Be cool to see all 500 of those balls git the green in about a two minute video.

I'd be exhausted.

Agree. Euro Tour is a good follow on facebook. It seems the players actually enjoy doing these too.

I agree, but IMO, the concentrated pattern will be smoother sooner then the scattering and takes up less space.

It's better than scattered because it takes up less turf if you do it right (not just spread, but literally less turf becaue there is some overlap with the square). But the line beats both. Fill the line with sand when finished, and that's a spot that will heal over quickly.

The square may be naturally more smooth than scattered, but it's also digging a hole where you'll be practicing with the ball below your feet. They all require some measure of sand and leveling.

Have not sold hole in one insurance in some years. At Fireman's Fund Ins it was thought the odds were one in ten thousand for the Pros and one in seventeen thousand for the rest of us hacks. Seems like the yardage used by the actuary's was 160. Premium charge used to be one percent of the prize value. No clue now to rates. FORE!

Rick Reilly made it happen in 694 shots.

Your fat, lazy ass would die on Day 4 from walking the 150 yards back and forth, no need to worry about D366.

Not sure that I would take the challenge, imagine the let down on a couple of the lip outs or just short of the hole shots? For just random golfer like us, that would be a killer.

The green/pin that the pro was shooting to, was next to impossible to hit...

You need something with a little slope so it can roll. He almost had to just about fly it in, not a very good choice at all.

Where the pin and the elevation would play a huge part. 16 at Augusta... they make one every year, because you just need to hit an area, not a 100% perfect shot like above.

Yes, I would do that in heart beat, but would need some terrain.

Jokes on you. I would lose all the extra weight doing all the walking, collect my $20 million, and then bang your sister on the green where I sunk the shot.
