I belong to an informal golf association called NALGA. We play once per month at courses around San Antonio. Next tournament is July 15th at Olympia Hills.

There is a $5 prize fee plus green fee. We do play handicaps but if you don't have one, we can start tracking one and we will use a Peoria handicap until one is established.

It is a friendly group and we have a good time.

Tony Franklin's Shoe is a card carrying NALGA as well.

The courses we play are Olympia Hills, Alsatian, Riverbend and Golf Club Of Texas.

Start play at 8:00, have a couple of beverages afterward while trading insults and stories.

And Tony's round will make you feel better about your own.

I'd be interested, but Saturdays are difficult for me with 2 little one's. Would like to be able to get in touch if I get a hall pass though!

Deadline to sign up is usually the Monday before. We always have a few no shows so last minute is usually not a problem.

We have a pretty consistent group of about 24 golfers. If we can build it up, we will get better perks from the courses.

I just need to turn my head when you are putting, I get all kinds of nauseous and it affects my game.

Just all part of my strategy. I would be a great putter if the hole was 3 feet closer.

But next time I am bringing a shotgun to shoot some of those ducks you were letting loose on the tee box.

Just like your putts, you would miss them.

I doubt my 18ish handicap is going to ruin anyones day.

Seriously, though, I like the Alsation, and I've played some of my better rounds there this year.

Seeing you will ruin my day for sure, but I know that makes you happy.

18 handicap puts you in the top 20th percentile in this group.

You are not allowed to play from the ladies tees in this event, calm down.

He could lie about his age and play with the seniors.

But, if he identifies as a female we might have to let him play from the front.
