Thinking of making a run at it. Thoughts on best qualification site (best opportunity to qualify)?

University of Texas Golf Club - Austin
Willow Creek - Houston
Sterling at THN - Houston
Pine Forest - Houston
River Crossing - San Antonio

Any idea what you need to shoot in the qualifier to make the championship? I may give it a go also.

these are the ones from last year. My qualifier, I shot 74 and that made it into a 5-for-3 playoff (Falconhead). Our qualifier was the #1 ranked (which they used for alternates) based on field handicaps. I once made it with a 77 up in Ft. Worth - it all just depends, but 77 is a pretty high qualifying score, IMHO.

I would assume 73 or better gets you a really good shot.

River Crossing is a relatively short course. Would that fit your game?

UT golf course is tough. I haven't played the other ones to compare it to. 7,400 from the back tees so you have to be long on that course.

They won't play Sterling at 7600 in the qualifier, will they?

That is was my concern as well. It looks like the most open, but I don't want to play driver long iron all day.

They pretty much make all the qualifiers 6900- 7100

Looking at the scorecard, there is no way they play it at 7600. It will be 7000

That's what I would expect and makes sense.

Pine forest is your best bet to go low.

They don't max things out at all for qualifiers. Falconhead is my home course and not all the tees were back and pins were fine
