Anybody done a stay and play out here? Heard good things about the course, but not much feedback on the overnight accommodations. Not expecting first class or anything, but would like a clean room, working A/C, and running water. They quoted us at $180/night for a condo. Just trying to make sure it's worth it.

Play there, but don't stay there. You can probably find a good rate on a house right on Lake Palestine 15-20 minutes away on VRBO.

I will disagree. We walked out of the condo to the course. Then spent all day drinking. I would not want a 20 minute drive after that.

This is the kind of info I'm looking for. Would like to not have to worry about driving granted the rooms aren't a total dump.

Assuming they let you bring a BBQ pit or have some on site?

For a guys trip you can't beat it. Nothing fancy at all but gets the job done. There is a small BBQ grill or you can bring your own. We do a big 40 man trip there and bring a BBQ pit.

Played it a few times. Not a bad little course and there was a group that played in front of us that was staying at the condos. They rolled right off 18 to the condos. Their buddies were already out back (lines 18 fwy) drinking/smoking

Just did our Ryder cup there... pine dunes that is, no thanks!

If your just meeting to play, good course. Talk to the pro, ask if he had any jff. Memorabilia... has several pieces in the back!!!
