How long do you want to ignore this user?
For my Anniversary gift, I've got the opportunity to take some lessons. I wanted to hear the opinions of others. I'm really trying to work out some swing flaws and was wondering who you think is the best in town?

I'd like someone who is going to insightful(and not a jerk) and be giving me some immediate feedback along with some drills(whether that comes directly after practice or via e-mail/text after they've thought about it.)

The only other time I took a lesson I felt afterwards the pro just acknowledged my swing for what it was and never really helped me make improvements.

For the first 6 months of 2013 I was playing really well. Playing a few strokes above par generally, but since a bout of the shanks and surgery in December I've been playing terrible and hate the feeling. I not only want to get back to where I was but to improve on that as well.

Thanks ahead of time! And don't say the Carlson dude...

I'm sorry that our lesson was not what you expected. I honestly don't recognize who this is by your screen name. Give me a call if you'd like to talk about it. I don't like for any of my clients to be unsatisfied.

I've actually not received a lesson from you, so you wouldn't know who I am.

Back on topic, anyone with experience with the pros at Pebble/Traditions and if they give lessons to non-members?

Well, I'm going to say 'the Carlson dude'. I've had plenty of lessons in my time from first learning how to play, to brushing up after awhile off or just to fine tune a few things.

Eric is a great teacher and has helped me out a lot. To each his own, but I find it strange that someone could be so adamant about not using a service they aren't familiar with.

Most pros at CC's will give lessons to non-members as well (at least in my experience).

As for Carlson, his personality doesn't fit me, from the interactions I have had with him and seeing him interact with others. They might have been a few bad moments in a stellar professional career, but it rubbed me the wrong way. I simply put it out there I wasn't interested in hearing about him and only remembered his 1st name.

Anyone with experience from the PC/Traditons pros?

I've been impressed with Jim Baetge at Traditions, though that is only based on a few month's experience. Regardless, I've been impressed how he's handled my kids and similarly impressed with seeing him with adults as well.

I would suggest Rick Kahlich at TAMU Golf Course - much better personality, professionalism and skills than Eric. I have taken several lessons from him and recommend him to all.

I agree on Jim Baetge at Traditions, great personality, professionalism and knowledge of the game.

I also highly recommend Wendi Wiese, very good instructor with lots of experience.

Lastly, I have heard Brad Lardon is very good.

I would definitely suggest Rick. Great guy and extremely knowledgable.

Wendi is awesome as well!

Id look towards one of them.
