I laugh and remind them our 2nd place team made it to the National Championship game. We didn't even have our champion in the picture and could have won it all!

The Big Ten's 2nd best team also played eventual National Champion and SEC member Georgia in the CFP, and yet put up way more of a fight.

Big 12's 2nd place team must've blown their load getting that win over Michigan to give the conference it's first taste of victory in semi-finals

From a myopic viewpoint, sure the big 12 was decent this year, apart from the very poor bowl performance.

Normally, the big 12 is very mediocre at best and OU is really the only standout team from the past decade.

Problem is big 12 doesn't have an identity as a conference, not like it used to.

But you're missing the key point: The Big 10 2nd best team didn't play in the freakin' National Championship game!

why is KSU so boring? to be clear, they owned Mack Brown for a long stretch. I'm not disrespecting anything they've done. but they don't elicit emotion. is Kansas really their rival? is that really a thing?

The Big 12 has the most parity top-to-bottom. Texas has abysmally underachieved, but the conference is interesting because of different styles of play.
