The bdf may end up with the dregs of the PAC to go with the dregs of the bdf to form the "One's Who No One Wanted" conference, playing the group of six leftovers.

New Big 12 is going to be great. I am curious to see which PAC 12 and which ACC schools will be added. Adding major cities seems to be a trend in this latest realignment.

Maybe now there is an excuse for tu to stay. They love those west coast schools & values, got a hip new commissioner. I mean the SEC is full of hicks - they know they don't belong.
Now don't misconstrue, I'm not saying Tech would automatically pack their bags if the Big Ten came calling. Tech is in the enviable position of being in a great conference but can't deny there may be other conference suitors out there.

Big 12 are not done upgrading. OU was a good addition to the SEC. They perform. Big 12 is upgrading with teams that perform in ALL sports.

Step 1. The PAC will pick off the few remaining "good" Big 12 teams.
Step 2. In an effort to remain a conference, the Big 12 will "upgrade" by adding a few more AAC teams.
Step 3. The Cougs will be back together with the ol' gang again but Bill will still be here puffing his chest.

If they had their fingers on the pulse, they would have realized after last summer's news of tu and mobilehoma, realignment was just getting started. By being patient, they could have worked something out with UA, ASU, OSU, Stanford and Utah. Instead, they rushed out and settled for second tier guys like UH, UC, UCF, etc. BYU is the only highly recognized brand of the bunch. But like you said, you guys were looking for nice places to visit.
One of bdf or PAC will not survive- and most likely will no longer be a Power Five conference. PAC gets $19M per school, bdf gets ~$30M per school; meanwhile the SEC and b1g currently gets ~$55M per school- headed to ~$80M per school. The surviving combo conference will be a group of five one with little tv interest and thus lower split tv money split.

Only benefit to this will be that the Big10 has a late-night west-coast game every week.
SO instead of watching Oregon play ASU, you got some big 10 team playing UCLA/USC.

Kansas, yes, due to geographic location, AAU status, and similar cultural attributes to B1G schools. Tceh is just a steaming pile of manure by comparison and won't be more than an afterthought.
