The difference is that paying players is all that tu has to sell, and they appear to know it.

What gets me is that the sips don't see theirs. A group of people that offered a QB $4,000,000+ to come to Austin and the same group that openly advertised a standing cash pay out to O Lineman is upset that Aggies are using the NIL system effectively.

They have zero self awareness.

I didn't read that as the Sooners didn't offer money, but that tu could only talk about money. Sark & co. couldn't talk about how they would develop him and compete for championships

Pretty easy sell if it comes down to OU vs sips.

The best part about all of this is that OU thinks this is positive spin for their program. They are openly admitting that they can't compete. I'm not sure that is the best recruiting strategy.

No. It's not self awareness. It's a desperate attempt to repeat what has worked in the past. In the past it has worked to say, "Aggie cheats when they win. They pay players." It's just in their goddam DNA and they are on autopilot.
