Watched his post game interview which again showed the guy is absolutely uncomfortable in his own skin. I can't remember if they fire him this year if he's owed $10 or $20 million. Posts from sips I've read seem 100% unanimous they are ready for him to be gone. So glad we didn't jump the shark and go after him when he appeared to be the hottest young coach in all the land.

Yeah he's in way over his head. Their problems are significantly deeper than whomever is the head coach but Herman hasn't a clue how to fix this. I predicted he would be fired this year after seeing the poor OL recruiting in his very first class. Since then they've gotten worse up front every year. Hopefully the buyout is the $20m range and they aren't willing to go there because of Corona.

Therein lies the problem. Social distancing and masking has taken his motivational advantage.
Have read buyout may be greater than 20 million when considering buyout necessary for entire staff. Then the cost of a new coach may push the total closer to 30 million than 20. This is for an athletic department that already has by far the highest expenses of all universities and barely makes a profit despite high revenue.
Don't they still have some old coaches still on payroll? Not sure if they have completed all of those payments yet.
Considering all of the above and the impact of Covid on revenue stream it would be a very inopportune time to make a coaching change regardless of the overwhelmingly desire to have Tom Herman removed as head coach.
Let them make fun of Jimbo all they want. They would die to be in our position.

That fluky Georgia win got him extended. Now it's a cool $20 million to make a switch.

Actually Tom is the perfect fit for the longhorn fan base. An Arrogant, obnoxious, narcissist. They just need to give him more time. Findng a quality head coach In the current environment is a real crap shoot! Too many outside interests have their nose in your business. Plus firing Tom now is really a bad look after running off Mack brown and Charlie strong.

He's not getting fired this year. Very few coaches will. It's a write off year due to Covid. He'll enter next year on the hottest of hot seats and may not make it through the season.
I agree - he'll be back next year with a pre-season rating of #5, after a hard fought and galant 4-6 2020 record with a very young team.
