Del is rumored to be looking at taking the AD position at Wellesley and pulling double duty as the field hockey HC. The admin said he would need to transition to female first but Del's agent assured them that wasn't a deal breaker.

Five years is a long time for a University president. In the last 60 years..

A&M - 15 presidents, 5 of which lasted more than 5 years. (Young will pass 5 years next month.)

UT - 15 presidents, 4 of which lasted more than 5 years.

Seems like a thankless job at a large public institution like A&M or Texas. The politics are huge, you're not the highest paid employee and you have to work seven days a week.

It's not

You can even see it in the sky line

Sip tower used to be a distinct part of it

Now with all the huge new modern skyscrapers you can barely see that eyesore at all anymore

And Sip continues to devolve into a UH style urban commuter college

The student population has not grown significantly over the last few decades and there is more housing than ever in West Campus.

I am sure that he going a fat pay raise. No longer have to deal with worry about the Legislature and politics. Huge endowment thanks to Coca Cola money. Biggest sports worry will be how will I be able to play golf at Augusta National.

I doubt he will be dealing with Tech any more.
