How long before the sip boards start to pump the "we played the Champs within a touchdown" line of reasoning to justify their "backness"for 2020???

Probably about eleventy billion years before they admit that they were a dishonest clock operator away from losing to Kansas. At home. The mental gymnastics it takes to trumpet their result against LSU while ignoring their result against Kansas is roughly equal to what it takes to trumpet their result against Georgia while ignoring their result against Tulsa. Or Maryland.

Look at it this way, what would college football be if we couldn't looking forward to Texas being back for another off season? I mean we attended Tradition U so we have to appreciate these kinds of things for what they are.

That's a tradition with them. Yelling We're baaaaaaaack from every sycophant news media outlet in the state. Then prancing around like a bunch of banty roosters for a few weeks until a better football program wrings their chicken necks!' It's just what they do!

The LSU team that took the field tonight was far better than the LSU team Texas played. And Texas did nothing but get worse as the season went on until the bowl game. Would be interesting to see a rematch.

The LSU game is proof that horn needs to hang onto Herman.

Agreed ...

It's a lot like our experience with Clemson the last two years ... we lost a tight one to them early in the year at home while they were breaking in a new QB and searching for their identity, and then they grow into a dominate team that wins the NC ... then they thump us at their place the next season.

tu loses a tight one early in the season at home to an LSU squad breaking in a new offensive system and searching for their identity, and then they grow into a dominate team that wins the NC.

And I fully expect the final similarity to this comparison when sip gets stomped in Baton Rouge next season.

Except LSU will be without Burrow and Brady. Not saying the sips will win, but that lessens the accuracy of an otherwise really good analogy

Oh good, so the sips will have an excuse if they lose. Perfect for them.

Saw a sip buddy post on another sip buddy's FB page that only tu and Bama stayed within a touchdown of LSU, and next season is going to be great.

Came back here to post this point. The stars are aligning for Texas to potentially pull off a victory early next season, skyrocket to the top 5/10, and then collapse in epic fashion.

'sips will also be playing in Death Valley. LSU will get another good QB out of the portal or JUCO.

I think sips lose by at least 20.

We don't have to. Y'all do it for us.
