Pretty sure we cut a deal for two home and home exchanges with SMU beginning in 2011 because we had to change some scheduling up on short notice after we joined the SEC. We moved the Arkansas game from Dallas for two years also. Jerruh had negotiating leverage and bent us over for additional games at his place. SMU probably did also. All that stuff is over now.

And he plays against one (uno, 1) good caliber team per year, and MAYBE one good out of conf game. Rice is worse or on par with Kansas ( I do realize you lost to them recently but they are pure suckage). All those "4 & 5 star recruits you got" and your SOS is lower 50%. You need to be asking why aren't we undefeated and in the playoffs every year???? And the answer is historically pisspoor player development.

I have no issue with Texas playing Rice in Houston. It's crucial to recruit there and Texas has a large alumni base there.

1. Do Houston recruits travel by horse and buggy?
2. It's a Rice home game. Sips can't give free tix to recruits.
3. Texas alumni are going to pay good money to go to this game. Too bad Rice gets to keep most of it.

Aggies played rice August 31, 2013 the year AFTER Manziel won the Heisman. So it was his second season, which would be considered a redshirt sophomore season
