Can you blame us? Our band folks do not like to have to sit in the nosebleeds. Or have drinks thrown on them. I guess it is all our fault.

And just think, if y'all were not poosays y'all would have games like that almost every weekend. Instead of two.

You were Texas, we are now. Texans do not act like y'all.

I can see the series between A&M - t.u.eventually resuming but do not see A&M ever agreeing to such a game in the middle of the SEC schedule.

After all the **** tu pulled last week I would not want to be them next September when they go visit LSU. Cajuns take pay-back to new levels.

If the sips are smart (they aren't) they would find a way to weasel out of next years game.

The sips' biggest home game in years that led to people being trampled on was against the #6 team in the nation. To put it in perspective, our upcoming game against the #8 team is no big deal because we played #1 a week ago, and still have #'s 2, 3, and 4 left on our schedule.

You guys are an embarrassment to a once good program 50 years ago.

C'mon man. An embarrassment? The idiot fans in the stadium acting like they'd never been in public before were an embarrassment. But that was an extreme minority. There were also a small number of LSU fans acting like obnoxious jerks. It happens. The vast majority were classy folks who were civil, friendly and enjoyed a great game.

The Texas football program is improving under Tom Herman and we as fans are enthusiastic and encouraged. To say "You WERE Texas. We are now," sounds kind of silly. It's entirely possible that Texas and Texas A&M can both have strong football programs at the same time.

The simple fact is neither one of us has done anything worth bragging about in the last 10 years. Your best season was 11-2 and ours was 10-3. Neither team even won its own conference.

That doesn't change the fact that neither team has done anything to warrant the claim "We are Texas" specific to the comparative successes of the two football programs.

I realize ya'll are extremely proud to be playing in the SEC. But no matter how tough the conference is, you have to win it to be considered an elite program. At one time or the other all of the Power 5 conferences have been considered the best, even going back to the days of the SWC, Big 8, PAC 8, SEC and ACC. 7-4/8-4 with a bowl win wasn't something to hang your hat on and it's still not.

I don't think for one minute you're content with 9-4 no matter what conference you're in. Neither are we. And if OK St and Miss St have proved anything it's that anyone can beat anyone anytime.

Neither program may have done anything to "brag about" aside from having a heisman winner and beating the eventual national champion in that 11-2 year; however we haven't had anything to be embarrassed about either, unlike yalls program.

You guys managed to disgracefully clown your national championship winning coach and replaced him with a guy that led y'all to three losing seasons in a row. Then, y'all fired him and hired a guy with a history of kissing players, who says all kinds of weird **** and has a clown bag full of gimmicks and are ecstatic about it. Yalls new AD is equally fond of gimmicks and has turned your students on one another with chintzy ticketing deals, unsafe admission practices and engages in public displays of irrelevant vengeance by tweeting out superfluous air conditioning stats.

As an institution y'all are triggered by a hand signal the rest of the world can handle. Your egos are eggshell-thin, as evidenced not only by the horns down nonsense but by fulfilling yalls own prophecy of being inferior to the SEC because yalls relative success is hinged upon it. It's a sad state of affairs with y'all.

1. Mack Brown needed to go.
2. Charlie Strong was a horrible hire.
3. Tom Herman has improved Texas football. Great hire.
4. Chris Del Conte is a fantastic AD. Great hire.
5. The people complaining about Horns down should shut up. It's silly.
6. Your last point doesn't make any sense. Our success hinges only on winning our own conference, making the playoffs and winning two playoff games. Not really sure what you were going for there.

You should spend more time on horn boards and less time on this one. Sips fanbase has gone in circles claiming the SEC is overrated only to follow it up with claiming wins over Missouri and a disinterested Georgia as the hallmark wins of the last decade. Yalls recent existence has hinged on the relevancy of the SEC.

It is no coincidence that del conte scheduled LSU, Bama, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida over the next decade.

I'd say it qualifies as an embarrassment when it's the leading tease on the 10 o'clock news in San Antonio the day after. And then you get to here quotes and videos from parents worrying about the dangers their kids faced to going to a home game when they finally get around to the story.

Both programs seem to be moving in the right direction. Neither have been nationally relevant recently. If anyone from A&M is hanging their hat on an 11-2 season from 7 years ago as an impressive measuring stick of the state of the program, that is sad.

2012 was A&M's only season in the last 20 years with more than 9 wins and they only finished in the top 10 that one year. A&M has been bad to mediocre for the last 2 decades and none of the Aggies I know would argue that.

Texas has been much worse than A&M over the last decade for sure, but Texas was pretty elite the prior decade averaging 11 wins per year.

I'd argue Texas is a little ahead of A&M right now based on what I see on the field, but it's only Jimbo's 2nd year and there are things to be encouraged about.

If I were a betting man, I see Texas making a playoff run before A&M, if for no other reason than an easier conference schedule. I think the SEC move for A&M was a change that needed to happen (it wasn't working for them in the big 12), but I don't see them making the playoffs in the next couple years.

Both programs are seen as "up and comers" right now with Texas taking a bit more of the spotlight based on history of the program (call it media bias if you like). A big win or bad loss one way or the other by either team will make a significant impact. This season is big for both programs, but probably a bit more critical for Texas since it's Herman's 3rd year. Both programs should be much better in 2020 with all the young talent, but time will tell.

I believe that happened one time my friend. I have not missed a game in Austin since the early seventies. Every time our band marched in, old sips in front of the Alumni Center would do the whole Heil Hitler thing and call us mother****ing Nazis, And of course everytime drinks, etc. were thrown on them. These were not students but 40+ y/o sips. And of course there is also when y'all rushed Kyle field after repeatedly being told to stay off after you beat us for the first time in ten years. When did we ever do stuff like that? And the whole walking on the Memorial Student grass when y'all were told not to.

The good thing is that the LSU game exposed y'all to the country. Bands in the upper deck, only 3k tickets, throwing drinks on LSU players. Y'all do not seem to grasp the fact that LSU, Bama, and the entire SEC does not give a flip who y'all think you are. Or were. Or whether you are baaaack.

I know our band will be sitting in the lower bowl at Tiger Stadium. I would bet yours is not. Pettiness demands a response. As does undeserved hubris and arrogance.

You were Texas, we are now.
