Translation:
We can't sell season tickets, everyone is successfully negative recruiting our boring AF conference schedule, especially the Aggies, which is why we are trying to schedule all the SEC teams we can.

in addendum to my last post, the biggest issue is that they don't have any big conference games at home on tv. Every other year they get one marquee non conference home game, and that's about it. So even their "big" annual home games are against OSU, Tech, TCU, or KSU, teams that don't draw more than regional interest, and that regional interest is shared with games from other regions that have national interest, and whoever we are playing that week.

If that's too confusing for you, go to your local 3rd grade school and let one of the students explain it to you.

It looks bad on TV because it is bad. And no narrative they can come up with can cover it up. They play in a **** conference with **** games viewed by nobody. Not all the pro-media they have can fix that simple, basic fact.
