Expect the renew rilvalry propaganda to intensify, since they won't be able to fill any new seats with the dumpster fire schedule.

Perhaps, they should be saving some of that for a new baseball coach.

And this is why there has been a media and government blitz to renew the A&M game; the sips are at a HUGE disadvantage in the BDF as their conference schedule is putrid. They play their rival at a neutral site and have ZERO big name conference opponents that draw butts to the seats.

Contrary to what libs want you to think, Austin is the most racially segregated and gentrified among large cities in Texas.

Soooo

It's a normal liberal city like all the other liberal cities where "diversity" means "I love having ethnic minorities to make me exotic food, watch my kids and clean my house but they better get back to their part of town at the end of the day"

^^^^^ He's right you know!

Evolution of a 'Negro District'
In Austin, the strategy to isolate minorities came in the form of the Koch and Fowler city plan, which in 1928 proposed the creation of a "Negro District" making it the only part of the city where African-Americans could access schools and other public services.

Are you ever going to wake up and come to the party. Georgia did not give one royal rat's A$$ about that game. When they lost to Bama in the championship game, they were done. Period.

That is a weak argument to justify the loss. A SEC team just rolled over huh.

Reminiscent of how the sip baseball team rolled over this season after their loss to the Ags.

$175 million? That's cute. Who's gonna dish out $150 a ticket for ISU, Kst or KU? Tickets for Alabama and ND will be what $2000?

Well, 80% of the teams that finished the regular season as CFP #5 have lost in upsets in their bowl games. So you tell us. Is there something to it? If you don't realize how big motivation is for teams in bowl games, then there's not much else to say. Bowls are the hardest games to bet because of that.

Texas won the game and deserved to win. But only a completely myopic dumbass actually believes they beat Georgia because they were better than Georgia.

What does that have to do with scheduling SEC teams?

It was a great win for y'all, no doubt.

One of A&M's recruiting pitches is the opportunity to play in the premiere conference and not leave the state of Texas. t.u. is trying to blunt that by scheduling SEC teams for their marquee OOC match up. Makes sense. Jimbo says, "We play Bama, LSU, Auburn, etc." and Herman can say, "We play them too." Disingenuous? Sure, but that's recruiting.

I stop by surly and hornfans on occasion and there are plenty of posts griping about what a boring slate of home games y'all have. The Big12 was once a conference with big-time match ups all over. But then 2010 came around. Dodds worked with the PAC to destroy the Big 12. Nebraska got wind of it and realized that they would be left scrambling for a home if they just sat idly by. So they contacted the B1G to secure a preferred landing spot. Colorado, jumped on the PAC offer to keep Baylor from weaseling its way into the mix. So in one fell swoop, Dodds basically killed the Big 12 as a marquee conference.

Now look at your games... Baylor (no one cares), TCU (no on cares), Tech (no one cares), OU (big-time national interest game), OkState (no one cares), Kansas State (no one cares), Iowa State (no one cares), West Virginia (no one cares), and your new TG rival Kansas (no one cares).

It is sad when your marquee OOC opponent has more appeal than all but one of your conference games.

At A&M we are playing Clemson as our marquee OOC game. That's an exciting match up. However, so is our game versus LSU... so is our game vs. Auburn, so is our game vs. Bama, so is our game vs. Georgia.

Congrats on beating Georgia. Good luck against LSU this fall. Drink some 5-hour energy to stay awake for the rest of your games at DKR.

I think Charlie's failure as a coach and 5-win seasons are what doomed him. And it's harder to raise money when you're at 5-wins per year as opposed to 9+.

From this article:
Quote:

Populous, which is the largest architecture firm in Kansas City, has designed more than 2,500 projects worth $40 billion, according to the announcement. The company focuses on sports stadiums and was recently tasked to lead the designs of the Tampa Bay Rays' new baseball stadium and the Major League Soccer stadium for Nashville's expansion franchise.
Yep, don't wanna mention that they're using the same Populous the Aggies used to the tune of over have a billion!

Speaking of facility upgrades in Austin, when they going to replace the fake grass at the baseball stadium? Looks like they are going to be able to get an early start, since they won't have to worry about the Horns hosting a regional. Now the trip to OKC for the Conference baseball tournament is looking doubtful.

They are stuck with the turf at Memorial Stadium since it's too far of a walk to the grass practice field. The Aggies play in the SEC West, where all seven teams will play on grass next year.

Fortunately for them the "expansion" reduces capacity.

Didn't Baylor do this with their new stadium ? Sounds like a trend for BDF stadium remodels ?

Its to finish off the other endzone, and regardless of what they say publicly we can all guess it will result in them having more seats then Kyle. Empty seats, but more seats.
