For all you tsip/Big 12 apologists.

The SEC has 137 4&5 star recruits. Big 12 has 39.

You want to talk Top heavy... the bottom 8 teams of the Big 12 have 10 of those recruits combined!!!

6 SEC schools have 11 4/5 star recruits individually.

OU and tu have 3 5-stars and 26 4-stars combined.
Bama has 3 5-stars and 24 4-stars by themselves.

So before you go down the path of comparing the 2 conferences, realize they are 2 different stratospheres.

By the way, what is that Big 12 playoff record?

let's be careful on posts. not taking away from yours, however...not saying much for our SEC of we have that many more "star" players and go 6-6 in bowl games and the Big 12 goes 4-3. We had 12 teams in, they had 7.
yes, playoff we beat a big 12 team....then we got thrashed by another conf in da game....
