Only conference where each team plays three cupcakes (minimum) per year.

I count at least 4 on sip schedule.

Sip plays cupcakes whether in or out of conference, not much difference.

Holy ****, what a dumbass. How
Many teams did Texas play with a winning record? The talent level of your league is the worst in the P5, and worse in some years than the American Conference.

Do Lamar and PV even have stadiums or will you play at the Beaumont high school field? Probably got Houston Baptist on the horizon, too. Pathetic.

UAB and Clemson would beat at least a third of the big 12 teams

and that is being very generous. Clemson would run the table with their second teamers

Again, you play Kansas every year and two years ago Baylor and Kansas had a combined win total of 2.

Here are the facts. The SEC played the following P5 teams during the regular season and won all of them.

Auburn beat PAC 12 champ Washington
LSU beat Miami
Bama beat Louisville
Ole Miss beat Texas Tech
Georgia beat Georgia Tech
Florida beat Florida State
Missouri beat Purdue
Kentucky beat Louisville
Mississippi State beat Kansas State

We lost to Clemson by a score
Vanderbilt lost to Notre Dame by a score
South Carolina lost to Clemson
Tennessee lost to West Virginia

Spare me the cupcake stuff.

Because we play at least one FCS team every year, sips get away with saying that our OOC games are FCS teams. No one questions this and believes them. Somehow Rice, UTEP, UAB and others are FCS when we play them but when Texas plays these same teams, they are FBS. Everything is all about spinning the appearance that everything they do is some great monumental task while a&m takes the easy way out. Their uneducated idiot fans believe their narrative and continue to view them as some type of football juggernaut for playing a mediocre schedule at best.

How is this the case when so many SEC teams are in the top 10 in SOS? They "run away" from non-conference competition.

Sips schedule:
OU (12-2) - Sips Loss and Win
Iowa State (8-5):
WVa (8-4) - Sips Lost

TCU (7-6): Win against FCS Southern
Baylor (7-6): Win against FCS ACU
@ Okie St (7-6): Win against FCS Missouri St <- Sips Lost
@K-State (5-7): Win against FCS SDSU
@ Tech (5-7): Win against FCS Lamar
Maryland (5-7) <- Sips Lost
USCw (5-7)
Kansas (3-9): Lost to FCS Nicholls (9-4)
Tulsa (3-9): Their only wins - Central Arkie, UConn & SMU

What does that look like against FBS:
TCU (6-6)
Baylor (6-6)
@ Okie St (6-6)

@K-State (4-7)
@ Tech (4-7)
Maryland (5-7)
USCw (5-7)
Kansas (3-9): Lost their FCS Nicholls (9-4)
Tulsa (2-9)

That's 9 games for the Sips against .500 or worse teams. 3 Legit Ws.

I will give Kansas credit. our FCS NWern St also lost to Nicholls: 28-10. They did beat Lamar, but lost to ACU and Central Arkie.

OUR OOC:
UAB (11-3) won their Conerence and their Bowl game.

We also played teams CURRENTLY ranked:
1: Alabama (14-0) - Beat OU in Bowl
2: Clemson (14-0) - Beat ND in Bowl
11: LSU (10-3) - Beat #8 UCF in Bowl
14: Kentucky (10-3) - Beat #12 Penn State in Bowl
18: Miss St (8-4) - Lost bowl to Iowa
Auburn (8-5) - Beat Purdue in Bowl

#7 Michigan Lost to #10 Florida
#8 UCF Lost to #11 LSU
#9 Wash Lost to #6 tOSU
#12 Penn St lost to #14 Kentucky

Although unlikely, Kentucky could end up in the Top 10, which would have put us at 2-2 against Top 10 teams.

All this doesn't matter though. This year what's important is what the other team is ranked when the game is played. Next year it might change back to the final record of your opposition as being the measuring stick. We won't know which it will be until the sips play their games. Just like star average rating and recruiting score. Whichever one has the sips on top will be the important measurement.

What is important, and missed in all these posts, is that the Fighting Texas AGGIES are one of those teams with the ten wins.

Read it and weep, sips

The best coach in your conference just earned an upgrade to the AAC. Not an upgrade? Sure it is.

Your conference champ was down 28-0 in the 1st half when I decided NatGeo offered more competitive matchups. Did OU earn a green ribbon in the 2nd half?

At 28-0, first half, BDF's season ended in utter humiliation.
Again. The whole conference's whole season. Over. Fail.

Oh, and tu. Four losses while playing in a kennel. Owned by OU for a decade. Yeah, that OU. Also lost to two teams with a combined 12-13 record. Back.

So, 10 BDF wins is meaningful, now? Why?

The standard issue non-conf is 1 FCS school, 2 (usually lower tier) G5s and one P5 school. In 2018, every school but LSU played an FCS team; Florida and Tennessee played 2 FCS schools. And of course the FCS and G5 games are pretty much all home games as well. That puts 3 automatic wins on the schedule every year. The SEC sure dominated the Sunbelt and Southland conferences. When you look at the records of the SEC against only P5 competition, the picture changes radically.

I went through the SEC schedules for this year. Even knowing what I would find, I was surprised by how bad it actually was. The only reason I'd heard of many of these schools was basketball. Northwestern State? Liberty? Charleston Southern (was just Charleston already taken)? Coastal Carolina? I present SEC non-conference scheduling in its full, putrid glory:

Alabama: 11-1 adjusted vs P5 (14-1 with cupcakes); excluded the Citadel, AR St, ULa
LSU: 6-3 adjusted (10-3); SE LA, LA Tech, Rice, UCF
****: 6-4 (9-4); NW St, LA Monroe, UAB
MSU: 5-5 (8-5); SFA(FCS), U LA(G), La Tech(G)
Auburn: 5-5 (8-5); AL St(FCS), S Miss(G), Liberty
Ole Miss: 2-7 (5-7); SIU(FCS), Kent St(G), La Monroe(G)
Arkansas: 0-8 (2-10); Tulsa(G), E. IL(FCS), CSU(G), UNT(G)

Georgia: 8-3 (11-3); Austin Peay(FCS), MTSU(G), Umass(G)
Florida: 7-3 (10-3); Charleston Southern(FBS), CSU(G), Idaho(FCS)
Kentucky: 7-3 (10-3); C Mich(G), Murray St(FCS), MTSU(G)
Mizzou: 5-5 (8-5); TN Martin(FCS), WY(G), Memphis(G)
S. Carolina: 4-6 (7-6); Coastal Carolina(G), Chatanooga(FCS), Akron(G)
Vanderbilt: 3-7 (6-7); MTSU(G), NV(G), TN St(FCS)
Tennessee: 2-7 (5-7); E. TN St(FCS), UTEP(G), Charlotte(FCS)

When Texas and other schools play teams like Tulsa, UTEP, Rice, LA tech do you deduct from their win totals too. Do you deduct a win if it is over a conference school that loses to a FCS school.
