A 10-1 Ohio State team dropped 2 spots in the rankings because they almost got beat by 5-6 Maryland.
An 8-2 West Virginia team dropped 5 spots because they lost to 6-5 Okie State.
So naturally, an 8-3 team that lost to Maryland, Okie State, and West Virginia would jump up 3 spots to be ranked just above West Virginia and just below Ohio State.

I can't see KU pulling an upset off. W. Virginia and OU should be close on paper. So much inconsistency in the Big 12.
I hope OU gets a rematch with tu because I think OU gets revenge and they draw a crowd in Arlington that W. Virginia won't.

Why do we care about a non power 5 conference?
Because you play them in November to get bowl eligible and pad that W-L record?

There are 5 teams in the Big12 worse than UAB, which team is padding their W-L record?

Excuse me, I read that to be non power 5 conference. Where was I wrong?

Yes guys, Texas is actually still in it for the Big 12 conference. Wouldn't it be great to see Hager get his haircut?

I don't think in the history of the big 12 or SWC for that matter, a two loss team won the conference championship.

The only exception I recall is the 1994, we were undefeated, on probation and ineligible. There was a five way tie for second place, TCU, Rice, Baylro, Texas Tceh, and t.u.

tceh got smoked by USC in the Cotton Bowl as the conference rep.

1996 the sips upset Nebraska. 8-5 champs

1998 we won it with two losses

2003 K State won with three losses

2007 Oklahoma had two losses

Without a championship game it's much more unlikely

The part where you insinuated that we used UAB to become bowl eligible, you window-licking tard.

Read that with the tie breaker rules using point differentials of tied teams scores against each other that if OU beats WVU the sips could lose to KU and still go to the ccg.

it's also possible that the Big 12 champ will have been beaten by a 5-6 Maryland team
ok state beat 2 of the 3 and lost by 1 to the other. They are currently 3-5 in conference.

The other tie breaker in the rules is that the team closest to Austin, TX wins any tie.

If tu wins, can we say MD is the one true champion.

Nothing kills your conference quicker than a three loss champion with some crap losses.

Go ahead whorns, reign in the worthless cesspool you have created.

They'd probably also get a NY6 bowl, and if they play someone like UCF they'd also have a good chance to get a nice bowl victory too. Pretty good for recruiting momentum for the 2020 class

this is exactly the type of bowl draw they would get.

Why would you care if the Sips play for the BDF Conf Championship?

If winning any Conf Championship is meaningful and important, maybe we can ask the CUSA, AAC, or Big Sky Conferences if we can join their conference?

If having more Ws is important, we could eliminate games against teams like Clemson.

I want A&M to put a great product on the field, against the best teams, in the best conference.

Next year we play:
v #1 Alabama (11-0)
@ #2 Clemson (11-0)
@ #5 Georgia (10-1)
@ #8 LSU (9-2)
v #22 Miss St (7-4)
v Auburn (7-4)

then:
v USCe (6-4)
@ Ole Miss (5-6)
Arkie (2-9)

Texas State (3-8)
UTSA (3-8)
Lamar

The Sips play:
CB #6 OU (10-1)
v #8 LSU (9-2)
@ #12 West Va (8-2)

then:
@ 6-4 Iowa St
v 6-5 Okie State
@ 5-6 TCU
@ 5-6 Baylor
v 5-6 Tech
v 5-6 K-State
v 3-8 Kansas

v La Tech (7-4)
@ Rice (1-11)

The Sips get LSU, Okie State, Texas Tech, K-State and Kansas

Because Herman will use it to sell recruits that the program is going the right direction. Figure most of the 2020 recruits will commit before the 2019 season gets underway.

If Jimbo beats LSU, he can sell the same thing against better competition.

He can also say he had a better first year than Herman did against a much tougher schedule.

Jimbo has been doing this longer than Herman has been getting hand jobs from the land of the rising sun. This isn't Sumlin drinking the recruiting season away. There is a reason we have the class we have now.

The flipside is that this could play out beautifully:

1. 2-loss WV beats ou, ou missed the CCG
2. WV beats the sips again in the CCG, sips get stuck playing

UGA stomps WV in the Sugar
Washington beats tu down in the Alamo Bowl (ou would deserve this spot, but tu would get it)
GT runs all over ou in the Camping bowl
