Sounds promising:

an in-depth look into a predicament Texas fans have faced during the last eight seasons, and each time the Longhorns have left their followers broken hearted and feeling burned.

The brutal realization:

Needless to say, there's a reason the Longhorn Network continuously plays the 2006 Rose Bowl.

Still the loneliest number:
Quote:

The Longhorns absolutely dragged the Trojans, and they did it on national television with a slew of recruits on the sidelines enjoying their official visit, one of whom gave coach Tom Herman his commitment on Sunday.

Texas Fought!

Say what?!?!

Quote:

Don't spend any time championing this Texas team for a win over a USC team that truthfully didn't have any business being ranked.

Yeah, but those Frogs...

This isn't an excuse, but TCU is a better team than USC, likely the best team Texas will have faced thus far when kickoff comes this Saturday.

Still gotta beat Kansas...
Quote:

A win over USC shouldn't mean Texas is primed to run the table in Big 12 play, it just simply shows that the Longhorns are not going to limp to another six- or seven-win season.

Likewise, the following week presents Texas with the chance to win at Kansas State for the first time in more than a decade

And the wrap up - back to reality...
Quote:

I don't think losing to TCU negates the success from Saturday night's win over USC

How are they gonna feel about USC after they lose to Washington State and sit at 1-3 for the season? Still a monumental win?

Likely the best team?

So far, they've played:

Maryland - who lost to Temple
Tulsa - who lost to Arkansas State
USC - who were only "ranked" because it made the tu game marketable.

TCU (who pushed Ohio State to the limit on Saturday) will go in dry on the longhorns this weekend.

Likely? I'm sure Maryland would give them a game. This dork seems smart....

That writer should have just come out with it:

"USC is down bigtime this year, this win did not mean much but there was a big crowd and it gave recruits a feel for what it was like back when Mack was rolling"

"tcu is down this year and the game is in Austin, win or Herman's seat gets hot"

"KState is down this year, no excuse to lose in Manhattan this time"

"hang with ou or this season means nothing"

Uh huh. And exactly what 5 teams left on the schedule do these people think are guaranteed wins? Baylor, Kansas, tard(?), Kstate(?), Iowa State(?)

They honestly have no clue how bad USC is. And the blown safety followed by the roughing the kicker call really changed the MOMENTUM of the game, anyway. The horns lost to Maryland. Maryland. Aren't texas and Rutgers are the only power 5 schools to lose to those turtles? The same turtles who lost to Temple. Sips looked like garbage against Tulsa. But somehow, because they beat a terrible USC, they are awesome? The only reason they have a chance of having an average year is that they play in the BDF.

Sips have fully bought into their win. They have solved their running game issues while also figuring out how to stop the run. Their safeties are all world and the cb's are the best in the big 12. Also, the online has it figured out.

There isn't a reason to lose another one, so they say.

to be 1-3 that means the horn had to beat them so really they are 2-2 and that is 500.

USC is, in my opinion, likely going to finish the season somewhere around seven or eight wins.

More sip delusion.
