"Aggies" is derived from the "A&M" A&M Aggies is redundant imho.

Why don't you call yourselves "The University of Texas Longhorns" on everything? Are you ashamed to be a university?

The answer is we use "Texas" to differentiate ourselves from the other "Aggies" in the country

It's not all about you. You don't own the state anymore.
