One thing we can agree on, Jimbo is no Mack Brown when it comes to making a splash in recruiting. Don't tell me Ags, Jimbo is playing it straight and the big donors at Texas were paying players when he started. You would think guaranteeing $75 million, there would be a few bucks left over for recruits.

I'm guessing you don't know much about college football. Let me help you out. Today's great freshmen recruits will not be tomorrow's stars, they will be stars two or three years down the road. Yea, we will get a few freshmen impact guys, but for the most part, This class will make it's impact in 2019 and 2020.

Next year Texas will be improved probably about 9 or 10 wins, but Oklahoma is also recruiting well and is bringing back a lot of it's starters, so they will likely win the Conference again.

How is predicting an improved record a step back?

On defense we return 7 starters and a ton of depth. On offense we return just about everyone and now we have one of the best offensive line coaches in the game.

I think you guys are starting to realize the mistake you made. By going to the SEC you are perpetually stuck in 8 wins a year with no sign of ever getting better. Jimbo will never challenge Saban and now he has Georgia to deal with. On the other side, Texas will aways be Texas and Oklahoma is again on top of their game so you are stuck again fighting Baylor and Tech for the recruiting scraps.

Enjoy your life as perpetual 4th place in your division.

The majority of predictions on this site for the Aggies in 2017 was somewhere between 5-8 wins. Majority of sip predictions (including the sip media) was 9+ wins.

But, yes.....we excited AF to have Jimbo. More excited than we would have been with a new HC with 2 whole years under his belt in the AAC or whatever it's called.

If Texas will always be Texas then you have a lot more days of .500 football which is what your program has been since 2010. That is 8 years now. A&M is 67-37 in the same time period in what you even admit is a much more difficult (and to you scary) conference!

I like how you are lumped yourself in with OU. Do I since a conference chant coming on!

Class isn't finished yet, Texas will add another 9 guys before signing day. We still have a solid shot at the #1 class. Last time Texas did that was in 2002, remember that class, it resulted in a natty in 2005. Ahhh, good times.

Yep, the recruits (who haven't played for him) appear to be in love with him. Not so much for the players he coached last season. How many didn't play in the bowl game, declared early for the draft, or just flat out said "**** it I'm outta here"?

All this **** you're spewing was the exact same as what was said about Chuck Strong after year 1. By all means keep the record on repeat.
