Edit: announcer literally went full Ashley Schaeffer BMW nut-tap "whoo!" with glee at the Texas interception touchdown before the half. Somebody please link it.

Any team that let Malik Jefferson make that many good plays has to be terrible.
This. The thing about Malik is you don't even need to be able to see his number, his hair is always visible. He wasn't the actual tackler on several of the ones Gus attributed to him. Sure he was in the neighborhood and got a hand on them but another player had them wrapped.AgOutsideAustin said:91_Aggie said:

Malik knew his boy Gus was on the call and would pump up any tackle he made for future GM's.

I was dying laughing at how Gus was waxing poetic about Malik being the world-beater.
That being said, Malik was improved last night. Put forth more effort than he ever has before and made terrific read and shot a gap for a solid tackle. Only took until season three for him to learn how to do that though.
LOL. Try again. Give the kid credit when he makes a good play, which I did. Don't have to create stats for him out of thin air though. Assisting is not a solo tackle.Quote:
The dislike for Malik is strong for you, kind of sounds like a spurned lover.
The funny thing is that Wheeler was back which took pressure off of Malik. If I'm not mistaken, though, Wheeler had the most tackles last night for the horns, not Malik. Wouldn't know that from the TV announcers however.Frisco said:
Hawg is right though. Multiple times praising Malik for a tackle that he didn't do.

Wheeler looked good. He was all over the place and hitting hard. Malik was good at getting intimate contact with another male when it was safe for him to not get hurt.aggiehawg said:The funny thing is that Wheeler was back which took pressure off of Malik.
