He's talking about 2018 (where the horns are slightly ahead even with the inflated rankings from Ketch at Rivals), but it is based on a skewed metric since we took 28 recruits in the last class--we will have a really small class this year. We are miles ahead for 2019 though and already have, essentially, the #1 player and QB from Texas.

(Until Ketch tells us about how the next Elway is only a high 4 star because he is from a private school and didnt sign with Texas)

Hey Petey, I remember a time when folks here said Texas could not compete with A&M for recruits. What happened?

There's nothing like a fresh coaching change to reinvigorate the hubris of sips and allow them to poke their heads out on OR.

And frankly, that's healthy. It won't be long until the chords of "Harvest Time" are heard and another February National Championship is won with an assist from the recruiting gurus. Expectations will once again skyrocket and the crash back to reality will be like another Star Wars movie; you've seen it before and you know what's coming, but its just as entertaining as the first one.
