This is purely third hand knowledge. I trust my source, but don't know anything about his source.

My uncle works for the Dept of Defense, (not Homeland Security) and spends 2-3 days/week in the Federal building. He was told that the Dept of Justice has informed the NCAA and state and local officials to back of the Baylor investigation. The DOJ is getting ready to lower the boom on Baylor using Title IX.

I know... this guy told a guy who told me.

I can only hope that this is reliable.

A federal investigation/prosecution would take percedent over the NCAA investigation. Don't want NCAA goons messing up the federal investigation.

Wouldn't stop the NCAA from piling on after the fact to try to show they are still relevant.

I can only hope that this is reliable.
If they are using Title IX, that likely indicates Baylor's eligibility to receive federal funds will be curtailed or eliminated. No student loan, no research money, etc. for a specific time during which Baylor will be closely monitored to bring it into compliance.

Not a death blow to a small private school, but very unpleasant.

Plus, NCAA doesn't have subpoena powers but they could sure use whatever evidence the feds uncover.
