Yes, I'm a former student of A&M, but this shows the lack of knowledge of those complaining about it. They need to be educated. In this context, it's clearly not the "sign of the devil," it's the hook 'em sign, which they came up with as a reaction to our gig 'em gesture.

EDIT: It's also a sign of "cuckold," though I doubt the parents were saying that their son's been cuckolded, even if he is married at all.

It also means "two outs" in baseball, not "let's call Lucifer to help us end this inning!!!"
