That number appears to be double the BDF. No way that is right.

Well we do have more school, certainly that accounts for the difference.

Redneck accounting

Don't they know that the school that sells the mostest t-shirts ever is in the BDF?!?!

A short seven years ago, A&M was arguing with the Big XII about conference revenues in the piddly 20 million range for A&M. Remember the "Beebe Bucks" required to get there??

That was in June-July of 2010. We didn't get to the SEC until the 2012 season.

For the millionth time, THANK YOU, BOWTIE!!!

How did Texas A&M convince the SEC lawyers and managers to lie about that much money.

In reply to AH, the year before the $20MM we were talking about 10MM for TV money. Only got 20MM in order to "save" the BDF. Even then the sips and Sooners tried to browbeat us out of the $

The PAC is deceptive because of their lack of great FB success since the Carroll days at USC but having a virtual monopoly on major college sports TV west of the Rockies (particularly now that the MWC is a shadow of its former self when BYU/Utah/TCU were members) has its advantages

The PAC numbers are skewed when looking at revenue only. They bear the expenses too since the PACN is owned by the conference. Actual profit is far less.

Exactly ....

"Revenue, of course, does not equal payouts and distribution after expenses, the subject of multiple tweets in reply to Fischer. This point came up in his explaining why the Pac-12 brings in more revenue, but the Big Ten is more profitable. The Pac-12 revenue number is more because they are running their own TV network. After expenses, the B1G far, far ahead. " - SaturdayDownSouth article in OP

It's been fun watching this backfire so mightily on the sips and (to a lesser extent) okies.

Doesn't matter, sips have LHN money (that they split with IMG and academics and still a few years away from the $15mil/yr mark)

There is one reason, and one reason only that the SEC is able to command that kind of caish... Texas A&M. Our entry into the League doubled the SEC TV footprint.

If we were like the GD sips we would piss and moan and bully to try to get a bigger share of the pie. That's why those turds should never be allowed in. They are a cancer.

So for 2016, now even Vanderbilt makes more from its Tier I+II+III content than Texas? Just wow.
