Well, one positive thing has come from this: the Texans have unloaded Osweiler (and his contract) to the Browns.

Whether they land Romo or not, at least they don't have Osweiler any more.

I'm a Texans fan, and hope we get Romo for nothing (or little).
What's to lose? He can compete with Savage.

And, if he sets the world on fire, most Texans fans won't backtrack or do any of the silly spin OP's trying above.
We'll just think Arlington was stupid for giving him up.
Nice try though.

Romo was always a gamer in my book.

Poor Texans fans, never good enough to be able to have the opportunity to choke in the playoffs... will have to live off the glory of that Oilers/Bills greatest NFL choke job for decades to come.
