A snapshot of 2013-14-15-16-17: lil brother will be installing their 6th new offensive system and their 4th new defensive system in 5 years.

Per usual, the sip p.r. media and the national sports media will trumpet the new system while trashing the "old" system that they predicted greatness for the year before.

Tell us about the new discipline focused on Core Values and the renewed focus on having to earn everything, including the stickers and decals for the helmets.

Somehow, "swallows" and "teasips" just seem to go together like ebony and ivory.

Oh, and we'll get to hear about how young the 'sip football team is. They've been "young" for so long, they bring to mind a peewee league team. That could get pretty creepy, with ol' Kissy Tom greeting his "young" players.

Grandpa is telling the same story to his grandkids again, hoping they are too dumb to remember the last time he told it.

Looking forward to sip fluffers Jeff Howe, Eric Nahlin, Anwar Richardson, and Jason Suckomel trotting out variations of the same old this-year-things-are-different quotes they sell to gullible sip subscribers each Spring.

"Last year some players were just playing for themselves, but this year the whole team is very close and unified."

Props to ya, chief.

Most folks with any sense of personal dignity whose football team had three losing seasons in a row along with losing seasons from both their men's basketball and baseball teams would be too embarrassed to come on someone else's board and talk smack.

You are however correct, we did underachieve last year with an 8-5 record and bowl appearance in football, an SEC Championship and Sweet 16 appearance in basketball, and an SEC Tourney Championship and Super Regional host in baseball.

But that does still seem slightly better than not qualifying for a bowl or any NCAA post season play in any of your three major sports.
